How does one go about installing SIMS onto a laptop that isn't domain joined?

Are you using SOLUS? You can export the manual agent installer from SOLUS, install the SOLUS Agent on the laptop, and then add the laptop as a SIMS client in SOLUS. Alternatively, as long as the SIMS\Setups folder contains an up to date version of SIMSApplicationSetup.exe, you can run that on the laptop to install SIMS

I've exported the agent from SOLUS and installed it. The laptop now appears in SOLUD but its status is offline and the agent fails to respond to a status check.

 

How can I rectify this?

Can you ping the laptop from the server? Is the 'Solus3 Agent Service' service on the laptop running

Diabled the firewall. Still no luck. I'm gonna have to have a play about with this now on Monday.
