Warwick_Tech Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 So I've installed ABP on some chrome users machines to try and reduce bandwidth (so far inconclusive) However they always get the 'first run page' - ABP have a reg file to stop this, but the folders don't exist and when I try to import them I get a disk error (?) Has anyone successfully done this via GPO or a script? https://adblockplus.org/development-builds/suppressing-the-first-run-page-on-chrome Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKLM\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome\3rdparty\extensions\ldcecbkkoecffmfljeihcmifjjdoepkn\policy] "suppress_first_run_page" = dword:0000001
mavhc Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Try ublock origin, doesn't get paid to whitelist ads, and I've not seen any first run pages, it just sits there.
Davit2005 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 I use PiHole at home. AD DNS is set to use the PiHoles in Fowarders, 2 of them for redundancy. The benefit being that you can see from a whole network rather than having it machine based.
