Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard

Morning,

 

We have Exchange 2010 SP3 on-site and O365 setup with AD syncing and Teams in use. I am running the O365 Hybrid Configuration Wizard and have got to "Enter the public IP addresses of the transport servers" and it's automatically populated it with two which I used to use as Smart hosts when I was on County broadband. Does this mean there is still a setting lurking somewhere in my Exchange with that smart host set? I haven't been using it for the last two and a half years now and it isn't set to go through a smart host in my send connector, and everything works!

 

Also, I'm a little nervous about running this wizard on a live environment! Can it break anything? I can't see how you'd have a trial run!

Presume you mean hostnames rather than IP, but Id not lose too much sleep over it and put the correct entry in, ensuring there's not some other email server in the middle.

 

Most impactful thing I can think of is it will modify your email address policy to generate @tennantname.onmicrosoft.com addresses and depending on what answers you give it, and I would also keep an eye on where your * internet route is pointing

 

Id definitely be doing it out of hours, and expect it to fail first time!

Nope, it's come up with IP addresses.
