kennysarmy Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 We run the HiKCentral Professional Control Software on one of our Windows Servers, we took the decision to install it on one of our existing APP servers - seemed to make sense. Each month when we reboot for MS patches we have issues getting the software to kick back in to life! We've had licence information being lost and services look like they've started but the software only work if we restart them all again! HiKVision have asked if we can install their software on a designated server!! Comments?
synaesthesia Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Quite honestly you should probably have that sort of thing on a dedicated server anyway. I don't think there will be an suprise at Hikvision software not being much cop! 1
free780 Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Sounds like Impero. Given the increased focus on Secuirty and Compliance you'd think Software would be resilient enough for Windows Updates. A dedicated Server just means you have a Server you can't update which is a risk.
