Adobe CC deployment fail

Bought a room of Adobe CC on that new school license.

 

Trying to deploy dreamweaver21, with the adobe created msi package, through group policy. We don't have sccm.

 

That doesn't work and neither does running msiexec in a command prompt logged on as dom admin, non-quiet.

 

In the log file it appears that it does everything up to installing the icon and then gives up

 

the installer is on a network path that I mapped to a local drive with pushd

I used Processor explorer to look for anything obvious and found another log file in c:\users\myname\appdata\local\temp\pdapp.log

 

In that log file I found a fatal error occuring in the gap between 15:10:25:302 and 15:10:31:735

When I ran the msi in explorer from the local drive, it created the icons but then got stuck. The progress bar on the installer stopped moving.

 

15 minutes later I found Adobe licensing toolkit running in task manager and when I terminated this, the installed finished

 

I'm not sure what any of this means though.

Have you whitelisted the various adobe domains to prevent issues like licensing requests being blocked?
