What Cloud based software has made life easier?

There have been various threads about blended learning and video parents evenings so I wondered what cloud software has made life easier in your school during the current COVID situation we find ourselves in?

 

I have seen mention of and used some of the those below but there may be others that would make life easier for Teaching Staff/Techs and Students.

Bit out of the box but Connectwise ScreenConnect helped us massively. Being able to connect to all our devices where ever they are and being able to offer the ability to see staff and parents devices at home is massively useful. Not going to say it is a magic cure but it is a lot easier to spot that little Johnny has spelt his username wrong when it is in front of you, rather than take their word for it.

 

Just managed to troubleshoot a users device who is quarantined at home and their descriptive and technical skills were not the best for me to be able to work out what they were doing. The minute I saw their screen I could see they hadn't enabled the microphone.

Ooh - customised how? I could do with a plugin that lets me authenticate against GSuite logins.

+1 for WeVideo, it's become a very usable video editing tool. The same for SoundTrap as an audio editor, too.

Unless Abid knows more they've just put their branding on it and come up with a way to link their Support site to their authentication system and support site where you can add allowed users and computers. I'm pretty sure their authentication systems are just LDAP or possibly SQL based.

 

I've deployed my own so that there was authentication pass through. Much more flexible.

Also I get the feeling you would have tried but does the SAML or OpenID extensions not help?

I'm aiming for OAuth authentication for GSuite, O365, etc. I really just need to spend more time figuring out what it is I need to set up / write to make it work. I have a slightly cludged-together mechanism where I have a server authenticate GSuite logins then pass a username / password via the URL as a GET request - not very secure as you can see the credentials in the URL, so not practical for general deployment. I've looked at the OpenID documentaton a couple of times but not had time to properly sit and concentrate on what I'm doing long enough to get anything working.
