Google Form Submission Lag

Hello there,

I was asked to put together an online alternative to our home/school reading record book as they are no longer being sent home.

I knocked up a simple Google form to do this. One form for each class. the form has 4 fields. Child's first name, book title, Author and comments.

The form feeds into a spreadsheet so the teachers can keep abreast of the children's reading at home.

It seems to work very well for most of the users but, following our virtual parent's evening, a couple of teacher told me that a few parents had complained about extreme lag when pressing the 'submit' button on the form. For example I was told that one parent was reporting a 20 minute lag when submitting(!)

I believe they are accessing the form on a mobile device. As this has come via the teachers I have no details relating to browsers, OS etc.

The parents who had the issues with the form don't want to use it any more.

It's so tricky to try to diagnose these kind of issues remotely! I've had a search around to see if there are any solutions. I've come across one or two complaints of similar issues online but no suggestions.

Has anyone ese come across this? Does anyone have any suggestions?
