If you are an experienced IT Technician looking for a fresh challenge then we have just the opportunity for you. We are looking for a senior technician with proven experience to join our team and support our users in the role of a Senior IT Support Technician working at the 5 schools on the Wellsway campus in Keynsham (Wellsway School, IKB Academy, Chandag Infants, Chandag Juniors and the newly opened Two Rivers School).

With strong customer service skills you will have a demonstrable track record in IT support. An understanding of supporting IT in primary or secondary education would be a considerable advantage however it’s not essential so long as you have the ability and desire to learn new systems quickly. You will need to support a variety of devices such as Windows computers, iPads, Chromebooks, MFDs, Promethean touchscreens and Apple TVs, plus systems such as Microsoft 365, the Meraki MDM and the G-Suite admin console for Chromebook management.

 

The IT Services team is committed to professional development and sees it as a key priority to help each other to gain skills and so improve our service but also to prepare you for future career progression either within the Trust or elsewhere. Indeed, the structure of the IT Services team is intentionally designed to allow colleagues to progress their career as their skills develop. A senior IT Technician could potentially progress to be an Area Team Leader (who co-ordinates the other user support technicians in their area) or a Systems Administrator for example.

The IT Services team comprises the Head of IT Services, three Systems Administrators, a Service Desk Manager leading five Senior IT Technicians (including this post) and an IT Technician, plus two AV Technicians.
