Staff laptop randomly loses connection to printer

Member of SLT has a laptop that keeps losing connection with the Printer.

 

This happens randomly and I have to stop and start the print spooler service to get things working again. I'm even thinking of having a batch file restart it every hour or so.

 

Im wondering if it could be due to the laptop sometimes losing its wifi connection but this doesn't happen all the time.

 

 

Anyone have any ideas?

I've seen it reported as a wider issue and suspected to be related to a Windows 10 update. Unfortunately, I don't have more details, but perhaps is and area to search.

Could be a bit similar to what I'm seeing. A few users randomly a few times a week losing theirs.

 

The issue came in with W10 and didn't affect W7 clients and nothing in the back end changed.

 

At this point thinking it's just down to W10 being dreadful. :/
