Steve92 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 (edited) Hi, I hope someone can help. So i came into the office this morning and had reports from users trying to access the Business wireless that they could connect but had not network access. I checked over the Wireless and could see that the devices were indeed connected and could see they were getting IP addresses and that i could ping them. I went to see a couple of the devices and they were indeed showing as connected but could not browse the internet or any network areas. I tried to ping some local resources and was getting no response when pinging host name but could ping by IP address. If i do an NSLookup it finds the device and shows the correct IP. Our Business users access the wireless using 802.11 authentication against a radius server. The devices are getting all the correct network info and running ipconfig /all shows all correct including dns etc. If i connect to the DNS server i can ping to the devices using Host name. If i try and logon to any of the affected devices with a new account it says that the domain is unavailable. Weirdly, if i connect the laptop via a known working ethernet cable it still wont connect and says the domain is unavailable. I removed the device from the domain and deleted the record from AD and once i had added the device back and added it back into the OU it was previously in it now connects absolutely fine and the Wireless connects and works fine. We have nearly 100 laptops setup like this and therefore to have to remove each device and re add isn't something i really want to have to do. I'm also concerned that because there was no obvious fault that doing this is going to end up just being a temporary fix. Sorry for the Essay and any help is greatly appreciated.
