MS Endpoint Manager (Intune) v Intune for Education

Yes it is pretty much.

 

We use the full Endpoint portal though as more features.

 

The Education portal I feel is more for Teacher who can manage devices in their classroom themselves

Thanks @snagrat, thought that was the case, i've done lots of config in themain console and just discovered the Intune for Education portal but couldn't see Config profiles etc, i'll stick to the main one for the time being! Thanks once again!

Can I just confirm that if you license Intune for Education, you still get the full capabilities of Intune?

 

Asking because there is a massive price difference between the two on the CSP and I don't want to buy IfE if it's gimped.

Hi all, I can confirm that if you buy intune for education, you get access to full intune.

 

As others have said. The "education" portal is just a watered down console, meant for less tech savvy. Whatever you set on the education portal will also be viewable on the normal endpoint manager portal.
