Malikwalian Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Hi All, I will appreciate if anyone could point me in right direction. I work in an International School in Kuala Lumpur, we use Cambridge exam board (CIE), and we are in Zone 5. For some reasons CIE does not provide basedata for IGCSE and AS and A2 exams for Zone 5! so our exams manager makes exam entries directly on the CIE website. I have spoken to few people and they said, you can create your own basedata to overcome this issue. I was wondering if anyone have done this, or have access to documentation to create the basedata. We use SIMS and I have asked our SIMS accounts manager to for assistance, however I am still awaiting for her response. Kind Regards, Muhammad
lysmith Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I know this is an old thread. You can create your own basedata, but it would be A DOMESTIC season. You can't make entries, however, you can do almost everything that a main season does. It takes a little fettling, however, there is a guide in the SIMS documentation area. If you can't find it, give me a shout and I'll send you a link
Flaming8 Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Hi Muhammad. Did you manage to get something set up with regards to creating the CIE basedata? I contacted CIE a few years ago regarding the matter and they mentioned they might provide basedata in the future, but as yet it’s still not available to download. Any information/documentation would be greatly appreciated. I would love to utilise the Exams module at our school, but because of the basedata issue, we’re not.
Malikwalian Posted November 3, 2023 Author Posted November 3, 2023 Hi Flaming8, Nothing has changed since I started this thread. Still not CIE basedata, which is really frustrating. Muhammad 1
