I need to order some universal projector remotes, Does anyone have a recommendation?

The one I ordered previously is currently £64.75! (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gyration-VP3720-Universal-Projector-Control/dp/B00CKAWKLA/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=vp3720&qid=1599555070&sr=8-1) I remember it being expensive previously but not that expensive

I have found one that is £7.99 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/VBESTLIFE-Universal-Controller-Replacement-Projector-default/dp/B07C9WTQ1M/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=Universal+Projector+Remote&qid=1599549493&sr=8-8) but it says delivery November 2nd and I really need them before then

amazon have a few others but they only have 1 or 2 in stock. I need to order at least 10

Lol I need 100. Just pinging this thread to see if anyone has any advice!

How on earth have they lost that many?

At that point, if my projectors have buttons, I'd be giving them long bits of bamboo and calling that a remote they can use to press the on button with! :D

They all went walkabout when the rooms were reconfigured over the summer. Its so pervasive that I can only assume someone did it deliberately, but no-one is owning up. Luckily, some departments had a policy of storing them in their departmental offices - these have not gone missing.

Did you have any luck getting these to work, I ordered the almost identical one from Amazon and had no luck, trying the "set" and "mute" button plus manufacturer key it suggests. Are they just cheap rubbish as I suspected?

Remotes going missing all over the place here.

They are a bit hit and miss. I have only had one projector it wouldn't work with so far

I have been ignoring the key on the back. I got a Benq projector to work with Set and Freeze which is listed as working with ACER

So most of the time I just work through all the options and just see which one works. The staff only really want the on/off buttons to work and freeze

The TV Zapper 3 in 1 looks good - I'm all for removing the more complex controls from the end user. Learning function so as long as you have 1 remote just teach it on, off and any other commands you want them to have. But leave "Menu" off!

Otherwise invest in RS232 control panels. No more batteries, no more walking remotes, no more problems!
