Wonde and SIMS to Google Classroom sync issues

Hi

 

I am having a bit of a nightmare syncing from SIMS to Google Classroom

 

Initially Google Classroom has been setup manually via CSV file uploaded to Google.

 

I have been looking at Google GAM but due to time constraints took on Wonde to automate things

 

What it has done is it seems to have created new students for year 7s and existing students 8s it ignored becuase there was a match already, but when syncing year 9 and 10 it started creating duplicate student usernames (ie Joe.bloggs1) from SIMS and assigning them to classrooms ?

 

What can be wrong? It has left a bit of a mess in Google Classroom, and I cant find an easy way to delete these duplicate users from Google Admin, or in fact why all of a sudden Wonde decides to duplicate users from YR9 to YR10 (unless these were actual uploads from CSV previously and the YR 8s was synced from SIMS last year - cant remember exactly though!

 

Any advice appreciated!

I'd raise a support ticket and join the queue. At least your sync is actually running. You can delete users in the Wonde interface and then manually match them to the right user - I've had to do a lot of this.

ouch that sucks!

 

opened a ticket today but they are so busy and term starts tomorrow...

 

It did 500+ duplicate users on Google Classroom and still quite not figure how and why !
