Papercut/Gmail Stopped Working - Scanning

Our scanning randomly stopped working yesterday at 3PM, we're using papercut via a Gmail account, any ideas, been working for years then just randomly stopped yesterday, when you scan, shows no errors but never arrives, in the sent items for the Gmail account it isn't showing anything, when you do the test in Papercut it times out

Will have it anything to do with the gmail outage yesterday? We had a few isolated mailboxes hit in our domain that encounted errors but others were fine.

 

Can you send mail from the actual mailbox via gmail?

Any reason for using a gmail mailbox account instead of Google's own SMTP relay service?

We've run some more tests tonight, and we're starting to think it might be our firewall provider LGFL doing something, as we have no outboard connection on 587 or 465

Think just the way we set it up originally years ago and it's never gone wrong or caused so not really bothered, have you got a link to what your referencing and I'll have a look, thanks.

That's for the SMTP relay. You just configure it in admin console.

 

Although if its an issue with LGFL changing it to a relay won't solve anything as it would still be using the same SMTP ports

Even more bizarrely it's randomly working again today,, either LGFL have been naughty little tinkers or something very strange has happened
