Hi, i have had sccm working for a few years but a month or so ago after updating everything broke, every component showed critical errors, so i went back to the beginning and reinstalled everything, i am now getting to the point that when pxe booting a brand new machines its failing with PXE-E53,& PXE-M0F and the log below shows references to Duplicate mac addresses & SMBIOS references, the computers do not exist in the environment. Can anyone help me with this issue please

It's been a good few years since I've had that error and I can't remember what exactly happened or the resolution, but you could try: Search for devices named "Unknown" in SCCM. The only two you should have are "x64 Unknown Computer" and "x86 Unknown Computer". Delete all others that are listed, then wait a few minutes and try again.

I did at one point create collections to try and find duplicate MAC addresses or find a specific UUID (I think the UUID is listed in the PXE boot screen on the client when attempting to get a DHCP address). Here's the queries I used, however it's been years since I used them and can't remember whether they work or not!

Find Duplicate MAC Address

select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.MACAddresses = "EC:B1:D7:54:1C:91"

Find Machine by UUID

select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.SMBIOSGUID = "F04BE58B-B8CE-0664-BCC6-76D62D6A8488"

Just remember to change the MAC and UUID listed in the above examples.

Well both Queries work, but they don't find anything, as i would expect because the computers have never been on the system.
