chrisjako Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 The head has given me the task of planning a 1:1 CYOD (parental aided) scheme. I was wondering if anyone had a project plan template for such a project Lots of ideas and tasks going on in my head however would really help if i has some sort of business plan template to work from
Brimstone Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 What platform....? Apple have reams of planning tools, many of which are aimed at leadership, culture, teaching and learning and infastructure...
chrisjako Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 Thanks I will take a look Feedback from a few teachers and students is that office365 and teams is not great on an iPad - looks like we may go down the route of a pentium laptop

chrisjako Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 I've got 14 schools in a trust, Primary and Secondary all using office365, One Note, Sway and Teams all working swimmingly... I think our problem is that our teacher use powerpoint, some kids have reported links not working when using ipad, also when teaching in teams the top and bottom of the screens seem to be cut off when powerpoint teaching
E_G_R2 Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 We've found that Safari doesn't support all O365/Teams features so have to have Chrome instead.

paulkerton Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 We've found that Safari doesn't support all O365/Teams features so have to have Chrome instead. Isn't Chrome on iPad just a wrapper for WebKit? It allows login and sync for Google services, but the browser engine is the same as Safari isn't it? I didn't think Apple allowed other rendering engines other than WebKit on iOS/iPad OS?
Brimstone Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 We've found that Safari doesn't support all O365/Teams features so have to have Chrome instead. Meh....They don't use Safari, they use the MS Teams app for iOS

Maybe so however, out of all my 168 teaching staff less then 3% will have even heard of keynote let alone know how to use it, it would not be feasible trying to educate them into moving over from PowerPoint to keynote It took a deadly virus In 2020 to convince them to start using office365 apps after I had it installed, regularly promoted and available to them since 2016
Brimstone Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Teachers should be innovators, below are a couple of examples from teachers that are always innovating in their workflows and teaching... Teacher using MS Sway to create a newsletter for parents and students and send via Seesaw, all done on the iPad Teacher using Keynote to create animations
