Talking about irons...

All the conference discussion about hot bricks and irons reminded me that about 5 hours ago I noticed an odd "heated" smell in our spare room... After 2 minutes of sniffing around I realised it was the iron in the corner.

 

... it'd been on for 3 days straight, thankfully on it's end, stood up and none of the cats had knocked it over..

 

My other half is now suitably chagrined..

 

Any rumours that our house was due for a large conflagration have been wildly exaggerated and I'm now looking for fire escape ladders for our loft..
