TwistedHelixis Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 We are thinking of upgrading MS office 2013 to 2019 but might not have the funds to do all the computers so might only do some. Does anyone know if there are any issues with Office 2013 opening files created in 2019?
paulkerton Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 They should be able to open, but features might be altered. Historical example: When you opened an Office 2016 DOCX file in Office 2010, any embedded web videos converted into a picture with a hyperlink, and would be permanently downgraded when that happened. I don't know what features in the latest version of Office would be affected as you went down to 2013 though. 1
Primus Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I definitely wouldn't have some PCs on one version and others on a different one. I'd keep everyone the same. Are you not eligible for OVS-ES? 2
