I am pleased to announce that Edugeek is now hosting a Terraria 1.4 Journey Mode server.

Server IS NOW OFFLINE. THIS IS AN OLD POST.

You will need to have updated your Terraria install to version 1.4 :)

I must have a go at this sometime. As an aside, I know some service providers look to achieve 100% availability and have deployment models to support switchover for updates/new releases. Obviously, this is no need in this context, but purely from an academic and skills challenge, is it something you've thought about and if yes, which direction do you think you'd go?

That'd require multiple servers and I can't see the advantage of doing it for what is a bit of fun.

Oh, I agree, totally over the top for this scenario - more a general thought about the concept from my part. I might post elsewhere - I guess it's the general concept of trying for 100% availability, which isn't really essential for a school either to be honest.
