We are seeking an AV Support Technician within Exeter IT, working between the Streatham and St Luke’s campuses. The post holder will be part of a customer focused team of technicians providing excellent remote and in person AV/IT support services to enable room users to make the best use of the AV and IT facilities at their disposal. You will have good technical knowledge and skills in IT and AV equipment and be able to prioritise team and personal workloads. You will need to work well as part of a team, be willing to learn and adapt your skills with the current technologies, and communicate effectively through verbal and written communication. You will be reporting to the Learning Spaces Team Leaders and work closely with other members of the team, and will support colleagues from other teams within the university. As the team provides support over two campuses, it is desirable that you are able to drive the service van. The ideal candidate must be willing to learn and develop themselves and a positive attitude and excellent teamwork ethos is as important as technical ability. Candidates must be able to demonstrate professional customer service and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to show initiative and be self-motivated. The working hours for this role are 36.5 hours compressed into a 4 day working week.
