Managing windows servers via Linux laptop

My network is 98% windows (we have one Linux vm) but I’d like a bit more daily hands on practice with using Linux.

 

I have an old laptop that I thought I could install Linux on and use it to manage the servers and get me more comfortable with general Linux. Most of the switches etc have web based gui’s so they should be fine.

 

Is this possible or even advisable?

 

What do you think? I’d like to do a bit of Linux training but without using it daily I’d probably just forget!

Easily possible. You can use windows admin centre or remote desktop.

Of course I could install windows admins center on one of the servers.
