Technical Support Engineer - Kirklees - £20-24,000 DOE

Location: Huddersfield/Dewsbury (Kirklees)

 

Salary:£20,000 - £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.

 

We provide IT Support to Schools and businesses in the Kirklees area, focusing mainly on Primary Schools. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, so you will be someone who is passionate about giving great customer service and loves what you do.

 

The job involves visiting two schools per day (same schools each week), to provide troubleshoot and fix any issues, check backups, maintain their inventory, offer technical advice, quote for and order equipment etc.

 

Applications are encouraged from candidates from an educational background. As you'll mainly be supporting primary schools, you must have a good attitude towards working with children/teachers!

 

All applicants must have good experience in:

 

Active Directory (managing user accounts within AD and Troubleshooting)

Group Policies (Troubleshooting, Setup)

Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating systems and Applications (support)

MS Office 365 (management of user accounts, Troubleshooting and maintenance)

LAN and WAN technologies including, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing, VPN, switching, routing, wired and wireless access (a basic networking understanding)

You will:

 

Be highly motivated with a can-do attitude

Have relevant qualifications and/or experience

Be willing to undertake further training as necessary

Have excellent communication/interpersonal skills
