craig2562 Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Silly Question I know, but just wondering if anyone has set up the 2Simple Suite on Windows 10, or even if it's possible? Maybe using the Win 7 installs?
sted Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 the old 2paint a picture etc? they work fine * you may need to ask them for an updated version depending how old your version of various bits is, and if you have the pack with them all in the launcher dosent work on 64 bit windows but the software does 1
dobbyit Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 I did install them and took forever and took up a lot of space, found online version so much better 1
Cat_Jam148 Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) Yep, we run the entire software suite here with no issues on Windows 10 Edu 1909 64bit. Get in touch with them and ask for the latest installers. The .bat file they include for automated manual install gets swatted down by UAC these days so disable it temporarily or install all the .msi packages through GPO. Launcher works fine here. Chris_Cook Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 I think we did this a while ago for one of our primarys. For 64bit systems, there is an xml file (possibly under windows folder, maybe program files, or program data) that needs the links updating. this can then be distributed to any other PCs that need it on. Its been a while, so can't remember the specifics. 1
craig2562 Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 Yeah, from my recollection of Windows 7 you have to substitute the correct path for the one that is listed otherwise the collection launcher can't see them. It's a relatively simple process. I'e been asked to install 2simple on WIN 10 but have so far not done it and just wanted to ask the forum if there was anyone who had already done it and how it worked out.
