Cmd /purge still same space taken up?

Hi all. I have use the following command to delete various large folders on a D drive of a VM. The folders and files are definitely gone, however the D drive still shows the same amount of space being taken up before I ran the commands. Recycle bin has been emptied and I'm at a loss as to what else to look for. Please can you help?

 

robocopy C:\Delete "D:\Shared Resources\Folder" /purge

Are you running dedup? It can take a while for the garbage collection process to work.

I believe so. Not in a massive rush for the space to be cleared. I'll check on it in the morning and restart if needed. Cheers.

Ah. Previous versions, I think that's it. There's 4 previous versions available, all with the now deleted folders and files. Doh!
