Hi all

May have been asked before but cant find any threads related to it

In process or refreshing a small schools entire network (PCs, Laptops etc.)

Due to the school Size not worth them having an OVS agreement

so instead we quoted them for licenses for Office 2016 and Windows, Office license i think are around £60 or so cant remember off top of my head.

They also have Office365 subscription A1 Plan i think!

One of of their staff members have turned around and said "Why we have to pay extra for Office licenses when we can download 365 for free and install it on the laptops/PCs", totally understand this as the school wants to save money however though i assume this is per user right?

So if user1 decides to download and install Office on their profile and it asks them to sign in can user2 then login to the machine and use office?and im assuming once user1 leaves the school and their account remove then office will cease to run if installed under their profile?

Can anyone let me know any negatives into doing this way over just purchasing Office licenses and just licensing it per device?

That entitles users to install Office on there personal devices not on school owned
