mattaylor Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Management has finally seen the light and given the go ahead to implement some web filtering for both staff and students. I have tried ccproxy, which was okay. Was told the otehr day about censornet, any body running it? Is it any good? Are there better alternatives? Not fussy on OS flavour, the budget has arrived. thanks
tom_newton Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Matt - I can arrange an evaluation of our "Guardian" filtering suite if you'd like? Drop me pm/mail/phonecall. Cheers, Tom
mattaylor Posted May 22, 2008 Author Posted May 22, 2008 thanks Tom. I have applied for evaluation version via the site, but if you can pull any strings it would be brilliant.
tom_newton Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Mat: Strings pulled I have had a word with Gav, who deals with all things edu - he'll get himself "on the case" and i'm sure you'll have an eval by the time you get back in the office
