Create a .SCR file that points to a folder

I want to create a screensaver that I can deploy to devices (ideally without using GPOs, as we have a general screen lockout deployed for other machines)

 

Does anyone know of a method of creating a .SCR file that I can upload using ManageEngine which just loads all images in a network shared location? I'm using InfraView which does to some extent but everytime a new file is added I would need to recreate the screensaver whereas it would be nice if it just picked up all images in x location and automatically added it to the list of images that are played on the screensaver.

What is wrong with the built-in slideshow screen saver? Its default photo path is the Pictures folder in the user's profile folder, but it can be changed, so that setting has to be in the current user hive of the registry somewhere. Find that key.

 

Create a GPO:

 

Specify 'PhotoScreensaver.scr' and in the same policy use GPP to create/modify the registry key that sets the path and point it to a UNC path for your file share.
