New Server - MC.Eternal

After some comments, and significant drop off on the DDSS Minecraft server, the next EduGeek Minecraft server is up and running - MC.Eternal

We are using version 1.3.5.3

 

Note: This is a large pack, make sure you give it 8GB RAM to use! Oh, and it takes ages to load, so make a cuppa while you wait!

 

As always, to be whitelisted on the server, please visit your Profile on the site and add you Minecraft username to the field there.

The server updates the whitelist every 6 hours. It can also be updated manually if you PM me and I'm around to do it.

I added my Minecraft name in to my EduGeek profile 2 days ago and it still says I'm not whitelisted. Thought I'd have a look at what it's all about......

I run the pack with 8GB of RAM assigned to it. Runs fine with that.

I bought my PC with 16GB years ago, but a stick died and I've been running on 8GB total since.

I've also been running low on disk space, so I ordered a mew SSD and fresh 16GB so they are paired.

It should be here Tuesday.

I only have 8GB RAM, and I had to assign 6GB to it in the launcher before it would even load. Looks good now I've been in though. I'm playing Skyblock 4 a lot at the moment but I hope to spend some time on here too.

I was able to get in with the 6GB setting.

There is a lot of weird stuff in this pack. One thing that is really throwing me off though is the time.

The clock above the map is so wrong, its dark by 11AM. I've not played long enough to figure out the pattern / full day night cycle. I just know days seam really short and nights long.

Hi, been a while since I've been on the MC server. Thought I'd check it out.

Allocated the 8GB and can log in but getting massive server lag (5-6 sec to break blocks)

I tried a SP world and no lag and playable so don't think it's my setup. Connection shows full bars.

Hmm... Logging in to have a look now @mikeglover. The server restarts nightly, and there's loads of resources available for it still (as in, it is currently using 3% CPU, and it isn't using the full amount of RAM it can do if it needs to). *waits the 10 minutes for the pack to open*

OK, so I have done a bit of tidy up. Server TPS is now 16 rather than 6, so it should be a lot better for you now @mikeglover.
