password1234 Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Hi Quick question We have 2 very small school sites one in one city the other in another, both internet is provided by SWGFL routers at each end, so have asked them for a change request we want to connect both sites up Once done i assume no further work needs to be done on the server or anything from our side? we should just be able to join the PC on the second site to the domain where the server is located on site one correct? or do we need to do anything on the server side? Running Windows server 2019 single server running AD/DHCP/DNS/DC etc. SWGFL manage all our routers so they do all the changes
Guest Guest Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 You'll either have to add conditional forwarders on your DNS Servers for the remote site or simply point the DNS of individual PCs to the remote DNS
MatthewL Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Just DNS in theory unless you plan on putting a domain trust in place so users from other domain can login etc.
