Connecting Cisco to HP Aruba with 10Gb fibre

We are currently running Cisco 3750 switches with 10Gb fibre backlinks. I have recently introduced an HP Aruba switch, again with 10Gb SFP modules. My issue is when I connect the 10Gb ports from Cisco to Hp, they don;t light up.

 

I've checked both ports are enable, configured to run at 10Gb and have flow control disabled, so am not sure where to turn next.

 

Any advice please?

Off top of my heads if there are no lights at all the issue could be:

 

1. Ports disabled

2. The Fibre LC connectors on one of the patch cables need switching around.

 

I have had number 2 resolve this a number of times.

Could be BDPUgaurd on the port on the cisco side.

 

Also is it not a HP SFP+ module then there is a setting you have to change on the HP Switch to allow it to work (I had to do this as I was using a SFP+ cable without converting to fibre)

Do you have any idea of the setting on the HP that needs changing? I've checked the visible light output from both the Cisco module and the lead to make sure they're the right way round, and there is no bdpuguard set on the port as far as I can see on the Cisco

 

I've checked and it is an SFP+ SR module on the HP side

Check the modules are working on the same frequency of light (ie colour) I know someone who got caught out by that one, needed to swap one of the modules in the end.
