Hi,

Yes i know it Windows 7. We havent had the OK to upgrade these machines to Windows 10.

A user has brought a 4TB external drive and trying to bitlocker it and it falling on Windows 7, (Bitlockers fine on Windows 10)

Is there a patch for Windows 7 to encrypt drives larger than 2tb?

I've currently left it encrypting on a Windows 10 Laptop. although it took 5 mins to get to .1% on a USB3 port.

(There is an error message which come up but i have forgotten it now)

Oh, it's usb? Was going to say BIOS = MPT = 2TB partition limit. Possibly depends on the usb enclosure

Seagate Expansion Drive 4TB, I'm guessing its a fault with Windows 7. Bitlockering fine on Win 10 1903.

Whole drive. I told the user it will take ages to encrypt.

Didn't give me the option for used data - plus I'm unsure if that option works with Windows 7.
