Good afternoon everyone

I am currently experiencing an issue that I just cannot get my head around.

USB devices will not work at all in the operating system, but will work in the BIOS.

The only way I can access the machine at the moment is by using remote desktop.

The machine is running Windows 10 1909 and all of RM CC4's stuff in the background as well.

When going to device manager I can see the following (See screenshot)

DeviceManagerScreenshot.png

I get the following error when clicking the USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10){Operation Failed}The requested operation was unsuccessful."

I have attempted to uninstall the device, but it just comes back again. There is also no option to roll back the driver.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Had a similar issue with HP ProOne 600 and turned out installing them intel chipset driver cured it.

Thought I had installed them on SCCM but looks like I must have missed them off.

We've had similar issues on other HP computers

What fixed it for us was changing from the Microsoft driver to the intel driver in device manager > Update driver > Browse my PC > Let me Pick
