NEC Short Throw Horizontal Lines

Hello all,

 

I work for a school district and we have one NEC Short Throw projector that has horizontal lines that flash across the screen. These lines only happen when you plug in the PC VIA a Lightning to VGA dongle. If you unplug the dongle the lines go away. The lines are present whether you are charging the laptop or not. I tried to move the laptop around away from the power strip, but the lines were still present.

 

Any help diagnosing this problem would be well appreciated.

Sounds like it could be interference. Make sure you’re using a high quality adapter that has shielding.

Sounds like your dongle's knackered. I use this one - genuine Apple product and not had any issues with it.
