mikeprice Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Could make the successors account before you leave and just forward any important stuff over, including previous discussions with SMT about projects so the email chain continues? The problem with that is if something you thought was all sorted out and finished with - crops up in a year or twos time so full access to everything might be needed Which is why I would prefer to delete all the irrelevant stuff from my work email and then allow the school to have full control of it after all - there should not be any personal stuff on it
FN-GM Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Shouldn’t most of these suggestions already have been carried out as part of the day to day job? A documented system shouldn’t need much handover.

Agreed - you just need to check it is all up-to-date the main problems is the verbal agreements and updates on on-going projects so the new person knows where you are up to and where you thought you were going and reasons that 50:50 decisions were made in my case there was a strange decision regarding the printer contract which needed explaining - which pointed out that there was a huge gotcha and the reason that it was allowed to stay I do wonder if the new person/group/whatever - ever got it
