Word addins not showing from SIMS word templates

Hi all. When a user runs a word template from sims, word should open with the add in tab across the top but it doesn't.

 

I have checked the group policy settings and macros are enabled and certain users are in that security tab but it still won't show the add ins tab.

 

Windows 10 Office 2016

 

Any ideas?

is it a mail merge report template they are opening? if it is, then the data tags will be under the mailings tab in the insert merge fields

It's an individual report - word template.

Is the trust settings set to disable all macros?

All macros are enabled, and there are a few trusted locations.

Thats an odd one, do you get the add ins tab when you go to design a report and edit the template field?

no, sometimes the addin tab appears but more often than not it doesnt.

 

I should say its a group policy problem somewhere along the line

Does the add in's tab appear when you log in as an administrator on the workstation?

I have a very similar issue at the moment and I too am learning towards group policy. Did you ever sort this issue out?
