Hikvision NVR and software alternatives

We currently have 3 Hikvision NVR's on our network and I am using the ivms software fairly successfully but i cannot get it to run on a muggles computer with limited permissions.

 

I seems to complain about the mapped home drive.

 

Does anyone know of a free bit of software that would replace the ivms software to remotely view and playback from our NVR's?

Have you tried giving users modify access to said location of where iVMS is installed does that work?

 

Failing that have you looked at Blue Iris I have used it in the past. There is a small cost I think but worth it. Especially if you have cameras from multiple suppliers too.

Just found if setup as an admin so its all working, I've set my program files for users to modify when they launch the UAC will prompt, user to authenticate as themselves it will work ok. Just cannot make changes as it writes to the registry it seems. If you find the keys and change permissions you will be good to go with that.
