londonbg Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 We have two IT suites both with 26 machines (iMacs). Has anyone got any recent recommendations for network colour laser printers? Both of the HP machines we currently use have felt a bit woeful and somewhat flakey in the 3 years we’ve had them requiring constant attention. Any recommendations gratefully received.
aicrd Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 We have the HP Color Laserjet Enterprise M553dn in all the IT suites at one of our schools. Haven't had any complaints so far.
PotNoodleTech Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Recommendation is no classroom printers. One decent MFD (Ricoh in my case) in the corridor can serve 3 or 4 IT suites (assuming your IT suites are together) and are much more reliable as they are designed for high volume constant daily printing unlike the usual small HP lasers which are designed for small offices with 3 people printing every now and again. When we moved from 60 small inkjet/laser printers to 11 Ricoh MFD we fitted the MFDs outside / near IT suites. Saved us a fortune and saves me and my tech a huge amount of time as the MFD just run and run.
Wubbalubbadub Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 No classroom printers would be my recommendation. If you really have no other choice though.. one of the EPSON Workforce models. Really good value for money, they are reliable and seem to last forever on toners!
