Had a reoprt that unwanted headlines were appearing as popups on a new Windows 10 machine I deployed in a class.

They were fairly lurid headlines about child murder etc.

After some investigations it turned out it was the Daily Mail website using the Push API to send headlines to Edge which will notifiy you in Windows 10.

Grrrrrr

Anyway removed the entry from Edge > Settings > Advanced > Manage Permissions

My next question is is there a GPO setting to turn off this c**p

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge\Enabled = 0 (DWORD)

That reg key will disabled them for Edge.

Is there not an ADMX/GPO for this?

As an aside there seems to be two versions of the ADMX for Edge there is an Edge specific one and a general Windows 10 1803 one. They each seem to have different settings.

Quite confused.
