Dos_Box Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 (edited) It’s almost that time again, with (hopefully) major retailers both on the high street and online trying to slash prices and grab a large chunk of your business. With Amazon officially kicking off the deals on their site from Friday the 22nd Nov although there are some early deals already being listed. Also, don't forget that many sites have a seperate Cyber Monday (officially the 2nd Dec) sale, so don't forget to keep an eye out for that. Admittedly, the past few years have appeared to have fewer low end bargains, but plenty to be had higher up the ladder. As always, we have this thread to allow you to post any good deals you see as well as requesting if others can keep an eye out for something for you. Please find below some useful links which we hope will point you in the right direction for some good offers. Some of these links are not live yet (for good reason) but please keep them in mind. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Friday-Deals/ https://ao.com/deals https://blackfriday.game.co.uk https://www.ebuyer.com/blackfriday https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/black-friday-785-commercial.html https://www.wiggle.co.uk/black-friday/ And don’t forget to check Camel Camel Camel first just in case the ‘bargain’ you've found isn’t quite what it seems - https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/ Also, please do not post links from third party sites i.e. you saw the link on someone elses site and copied that. Try and post a link to the item on the site it is being sold on directly where possible Good hunting and thanks to @hardtailstar for beating me to this by 5 mins and the Wiggle link! denium Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 The HDD(s) or the NAS itself (since Synology don't make HDDs)? The NAS itself. I already have HDDs. It's very hard to find discounted Synology gear online in my experience.
bald_pig Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 I'm eyeing up a 2070 super this year, send me GPU deals!
Dos_Box Posted November 19, 2019 Author Posted November 19, 2019 (edited) A decent RGB gaming KB for my son. He wants a Razer, although I think there are better or the same to be had for cheaper. Edited November 19, 2019 by Dos_Box
Garacesh Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 I think I'm just after a pair of earbuds this year as mine recently broke. Annoyingly, more and more of them seem to either be "cheap and crap" or "those bloody annoying ones that actually go into your ear canal and stop you being able to hear anything else.. and then hurt after about half an hour" Though I might pick up a switch game or two. Or a desk. I could do with a new PC desk at home

Unfortunately I have no love for Apple gear, nor Bluetooth headphones (because I'd only go and lose one of them, or forget to charge them, or lose the charger...) and I don't really like 'big' headphones that go over-the-ear either. They're either small enough to be uncomfortable because they barely cover your ear and squish your ear cartilage in against your head, or they're too big to carry around because they go completely around the ear (else I'd just take my Audio-Technicas with me everywhere ) I just want to use them with a 'dumb' mp3 player. Yeah, yeah, I know, "Don't you guys have phones?" but I abhor intentionally implementing SPoFs and the MP3 player battery only needs charging every 12-14 days. I just want a pair of wired earbuds that sit behind the tragus and anti-tragus without you having to lodge them into the ear canal, preferably without tinsel cable so they're a bit more durable. But apparently there's no market for that any more I'm a pain, I know Edited November 19, 2019 by Garacesh

Koldov Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Some Black Friday 'Early Bird' ebuyer deals... Do you think the average SSD price is going to come down much? Seems like going from 250GB to 500GB isn't that much more expensive, but 500GB to 1TB nearly doubles the price! I know a lot of people recommend the Samsung drives... are they worth it? https://www.ebuyer.com/824749-samsung-860-evo-500gb-ssd-mz-76e500b-eu or https://www.ebuyer.com/822478-crucial-mx500-500gb-ssd-ebuyer-ct500mx500ssd1

Their drives are always well regarded and come with excellent warranties. TBH, I think I'd hold back a little longer and see what comes up, although, looking at CamelCamelCamel, it's never been as cheap as that (on Amazon at any rate) - https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Samsung-860-EVO-SATA-Internal/product/B078WQT6S6
