Either your Username or Password was Incorrect or you do not have permission to acces

Hi - Set up HAP+ version 10.6 on a DC Server 2012

Made the permission and apppool changes as per the video.

edited the web.config file as per the message. Access to AD works in the configuration once the password is put in (does not stay?)

Access the site via Chrome or IE on a win7 client (internally)

Domain admins can log in but all others get the message 'Either your Username or Password was Incorrect or you do not have permission to access this site.'

Don't know why?

Highly suggest you don't run HAP+ on a DC. Run it on a member server and the app pool config will work correctly. Watch the v8+ installation video

Hi Nick - oh OK - I thought it was meant to be a DC - will try that but I have not found the v8+ video only the v7 at

I have now looked and found it - could you put a sticky thread at some point that covers the latest installation bits - or have I just missed them?

Many thanks for HAP+

Thanks for that guys. I've come back to this and set up a new 2102R2 member and followed the guide - but getting garbled output - I have checked everything several times but I must be being a donut

You need to remove something the web.config file, make sure you have taken out the text around line 225 with reference to the mineMap file extensions - think this is what you are missing.

The certificate only applied as an external URL not internal - so made a trusted site and was OK. However now it won't connect to AD - When it was on a DC it connected fine but now on a member server I get an error. This is the same with the 'special' hap user that's port of domain admins and the main domain administrator u/n and password.

hap6.PNG FYI

Also I need to separate the site from the main Intranet site on the server so set it up as a new site and added it as a local DNS entry to point to the main Intranet server - page/site all loads under the alias 'hap'

Set up a dedicated VM member server and added HAP+ to the default tsite - works OK now with AD - but still get the original error I had at the beginning
