We've upgraded several IT rooms and two new sets of laptops to Windows 10 - and our network is on its knees. Something we've done is causing huge amounts of network traffic.

Anyone experienced this? We're assuming we've enabled something (or not disabled something!) .....

Help!

As above,

I bet all your clients are sending windows updates to all the "other" clients. We had this. We use get our WSUS server to deploy updates.

From the article below:

Delivery Optimization is turned on by default on all editions of Windows 10. There is however a difference between Enterprise and Education versions of windows 10, and the regular versions such as Pro or Home.

All Enterprise and Education versions are configured to only use PCs on a corporate network as peers. Consumer versions of Windows 10 on the other hand are configured to use local and Internet peers when it comes to updates

We disabled the use of clients and internet as peers. Only our WSUS server sends updates.

You can disable it via GPO here: https://www.ghacks.net/2016/08/17/windows-10-update-delivery-optimization/
