newpersn Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 I have a strange issues with some of our laptops that wont pickup the Promethean touch panel. Before they was upgraded to Windows 10 they worked fine with a 5M cable to the laptop. Now some of the laptops (Dell 3350 and a E5440 wont pick up the 5m and give me an error in the device manager. Swap the cable for a 2/3M cable and they work fine. Any ideas? Latest chipset drivers are installed from Dells website.
robyholmes Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Do you have a power USB hub you could put in between somewhere? When you have long cable runs the voltage can often cause problems and a power USB hub can then 'Boost' the voltage.
newpersn Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 Their was no issue with these laptops when they was on Windows 7. Just when they are being upgraded to Windows 10. It must be a drivers issue but these are uptodate from dells website.
