Shrimpersfan Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I recently added active directory locally to my PC. It works fine but i do not have the email or exchange options (email addresses, exchange features and exchange advanced). I'm guessing these are available on the server because it is used on an exchange server and my local version is.... local. What i'm asking is if there is a way of getting the email and exchange tabs on my local AD? Cheers
steveg Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I may be totally wrong, but isn't one of the options from the exchange cd to install the admin side of things, which you should be able to do on your pc? Steve
Shrimpersfan Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 I installed it by copying the 'adminpak' setup file from the server.
Shrimpersfan Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 This then setup the administrative tools for MS Server 2003
ChrisH Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Thats just for the normal tools you will also need the exchange tools as highlighted by an earlier post. You can then get a version of ADUC with the exchange stuff in it.
