mole Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Hi All against my better judgement I have installed an Apple tv to display Bloomberg live news feed, Apple tv controlled via its own remote, display controlled via crestron mpc3-201. my issue is apple related - is there any way to disable everything and only allow bloomberg app to work or somehow put a pin lock to stop students bringing in their own apple tv remotes and changing stuff? Another issue is that when another source is selected, eg laptop input and then you back to Apple TV Bloomberg live news feed it 'cleverly' pauses the live feed, so then someone has to go and press play with the remote. any help much appreciated! thanks

mole Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 I've found a Crestron module which should do the job for $50 - well at the very least put a play button on the control panel for the Apple TV.
Brimstone Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Here's how to restrict pairing of other remotes.. Select the Settings app from the Apple TV Home screen. Select General. Select Restrictions from the General menu. Enter your passcode. Select Remote App Pairing. It's located at the bottom of the menu. To use Single App mode you must have a decent MDM solution in place, the Apple TV must be Supervised e.g. Enrolled in DEP. 1
