Meru WiFi Replacement and Apple TV

Hi all,

We are a 1:1 iPad school currently using Meru WiFi.

The current system is 6 years old and we are planning on replacing it next year, and we are are considering Ubiquiti UniFi.

 

We have an Apple TV Gen3 in each classroom for the teacher to mirror their iPads wirelessly to a projector.

(Apple TVs are on the same VLAN as teachers iPads)

 

The Meru WiFi allows us to control which ATVs are associated with each access point.

For example, rather than seeing every ATV in the school from your iPad, you can only see the ones associated with the AP you are connected to.

 

Is there anyway to do anything similar with UniFi or any other WiFi network provider, or is this a Meru only feature?

Don't know about other wifi solutions that do this, but a good MDM can control which teacher/student has access to which AppleTV across classrooms
