timbo343 Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 We have been informed about an issue in papercut and through my testing it seems the finger points to papercut. The issue is when a document (in this test powerpoint) is in colour and the print paper size is different to the original paper size, the job is charged as a greyscale job but prints in colour. If the print paper size is the same as the original paper size the job is charged at a colour rate which is what is supposed to happen. We have tried the following: - Diferent windows versions (LTSC2019 & LTSB2016) - Different Powerpoint version (2016 & 2019) - There are no new drivers for the MFDs - Documents printed via adobe reader also produce this error - Different users - this doesn't make a difference
supportman Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Yeh I noticed the same thing, I just changed all our black and white printers to 0.02 a copy in the printers menu. Colour printers I put up to 0.20 for all copies. Seems to work for us.
timbo343 Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 Turns out there is a new driver available for our MFDs (toshiba) however it's not on the toshiba MFD website yet. Updating the driver has solved our issue incase anyone else comes across this issue. 1
