Morning All,

Despite having a redirected start menu and a tile xml layout file all working, Windows 10 is still showing commin programs (I've also turned this off as a GPO) - so users can still see the menu options for 'Microsoft Solitaire Collection' and '3D Viewer' etc etc

How are these items being put there if I am redirecting?

Cheers

Gareth

Provisioned UWP Apps are merged with the start menu. There's no real way to remove them.

You can unprovision most of them, but some will remain. They can be blocked with AppLocker.

We have a redirected start menu, however shortcuts in "%allusersprofile%\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs" would still appear.

We created a GPO that sets the folder so that only IT Support and System have access to it, it doesn't show for staff and students any more but we can still access it on our own accounts if we log on around school

@ComboSmith how did you achieve this by not showing the programs menu to the rest of your staff and students?
