localzuk Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 We have a nursery that is connected back to one of our sites via a wireless link (gives them 60Mbps up and down). When users on this site try and save documents in Word, Word can freeze for minutes and sometimes even closes entirely (but without any error message in Event Viewer). Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? The documents are stored on a normal shared drive on a normal Windows 2016 Server box. All the clients are on Windows 10 1803. One of the clients is using Office 2016 VL, and the other 2 are on Office 365 ProPlus.
featured_spectre Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 might sound daft, but their connection is stable right? I ask this because I have the same issue when going between buildings, and it bounces from 1 wifi to another, it will freeze without event viewer picking anything up. Also re they saving to one drive or any shared area?
localzuk Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 The PTP link stats show it as stable. Saving to a normal Windows share on our central servers.
