anyone know how to disable the windows + x key command?

 

tried the policy User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer. disable all the windows shortcuts accept the windows + x key.

 

tried the reg hack as well. Anyone managed to get this blocked?

Why do you want to block it?

only switched to windows 10 this summer, I can block most on the menu accept the search option which then allows you to search local system files, manage to search for an app and it gives you an uninstall option Edited September 11, 2019 by 10101010

Delete the contents of %SystemDrive%\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX or better yet change the permissions so System has full access and an IT Support group has read and execute, that way your IT Support staff can still use the menu, also stops the cursor jumping when regular users right click the start menu which is a side effect of deleting the contents of the folder.
